Thessaloniki Doc Fest to host Iran doc

Iranian mid-length documentary ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ has been slated to take part in the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in Greece.

Directed by Mehdi Zamanpour Kiasari, the 25-minute documentary film will be among the competition titles to screen at the 24th edition of the Greek film event.

The film shows life in the Fahraj village in the central district of Yazd County, Yazd Province of Iran.

Aboulfazl and Setayesh are two kids living in this rural region. Destiny has decided different lives for these two kids.

‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ has already taken part in a number of global events, including the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) in the Netherlands, where it won the Special Jury Award of the event.

This year’s edition of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival that is among the world’s leading doc film events is slated for March 10-20.
